Generating Faith
Peter Junior Lilo Iakopo and his nine children live in Auckland. Two years ago a series of traumatic events rocked their family.
They lost everything when their house burnt down. While in Emergency housing his wife died suddenly.
Peter became anxious, was unable to work as a truck driver and had to go on the benefit. This caused greater hardship until Peter had the opportunity to become a Courier Driver.
Vaka Tautua, impressed by Peter’s faith and determination linked him with the Generator. The Generator provided the support, advocacy and resources Peter needed to become a Courier Driver.
In this video Peter talks about the Generator and how this initiative gave Peter’s family hope, enabling them to move off the benefit which he has described as life-changing.
